Bilathiyile Koottukar (B.Q) or Malayalees in the UK is a Facebook group which represents the community from Kerala (in South India) – also known as “God’s Own Country". 
 
"Bilathiyile" is a word that used by South Indians widespread to represent England from centuries. "Koottukar" means friends in Malayalam Language.  BiIathyile Kootukar means Malayalee Friends in the United Kingdom. 
 
Malayalees are Indian diasporas orginated from the South India state called Kerala. There is an assumption that there are around 2 Lakhs malayalee expatriates residing in the United Kingdom. The immigration from kerala to the UK started decades ago and everyone might have an exciting story to share in regards to their survival in this multi cultural country. 
 
As a Facebook group BiIathyile Koottukar are now introducing a website called ukMalayaleesDirectory for skilled and semi skilled professionals working in various expertise areas in the United Kingdom. 
 
The main aim is to develop a listing of malayalee expatriate businesses/ organizations in the UK with contact information and according to their skills, goods or services they offer in the community.
 
The vision is to support the interests of the Malayalee community in the United Kingdom, foster friendship with other communities and to provide opportunities to support each other when there is a need.
 
We also aim to promote our indigenous cultural values and provide community members with an opportunity to meet, discuss and propagate the heritage and traditions of Kerala in the United Kingdom.
 
ukMalayaleesDirectory is completely a free service offered to the community with no intention of profit making. However, in order to meet some expenses we are happy to accept any sponsorship to promote your business. The sponsorship amount will be contributing towards some expenses and future activities of ukMalayaleesDirectory.
